When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

there should be consistancy in all public service jobs from emergency services to all workers within the health care system from food service employees to technicians etc.
Fairness is the issue, those who generally work nine to five should not be earning obscene wages when compared to emergency service workers who dedicate time and emotion to fulfill difficult jobs.
Hah, spoken like a true fireman. Guess you didn't notice that an awful lot of those on the high-paid list are firemen as well. So much for that theory, I guess.
