OTTAWA – Federal politicians have caved to public pressure and will allow the auditor general to review their finances and expenses. The decision to grant Sheila Fraser access to the House of Commons records, which are normally off limits to the watchdog, comes more than one year after she first asked permission to review the financial administration of Parliament’s lower chamber and the expense claims of MPs. Fraser’s request was initially rejected last month, sparking outrage across the country by Canadians who demanded transparency and explanations about how their representatives were spending more than $500-million in tax dollars.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
