A bizarre and scary incident for a Vernon Mountie and tow truck driver on Westside Road. They were clearing an accident scene in the 12400 block Tuesday night, fully set up with all the lights going when a car, was spotted approaching. RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk says a woman driving a green mid 1990's Ford Aspire caused some problems. "(The car) clipped the overturned vehicle, narrowly missing our officer and came to a stop approximately 100 feet down the road. Our officer and a tow truck operator went to the vehicle. A Caucasian female was in the driver's seat stating she was not injured, and claimed she did not know what happened. The officer told her to stay where she was as her vehicle needed to be towed as the windshield (top left hand corner) was smashed and part of the roof was peeled back. The woman said she just lived around the corner." Molendyk says while the officer was replacing some cones that had been knocked over, the woman drove off and attempts to find her were unsuccessful. Police are asking anyone who has seen a mid 90's green Ford Aspire with damage to the windshield and roof to contact them. DON QUIXOTE VS. When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
