No Worries

There's concerns on line gaming in BC could take away business from regular casinosVernon's mayor isn't worried the province's move to online gambling, could have a negative impact on the casino revenue the city receives. Wayne Lippert says he's discussed the issue with BC Lottery officials.

Lippert says the two gaming outlets, are expected to have different clientele. "They're feeling is that people gambling on the Internet are not the same ones necessarily that are going to the casinos, so they're not expecting it to change any of the casino revenues."Proceeds from the local Lake City Casino outlet inject about 2 million dollars a year to city coffers for community projects.
