With a population of more than 106,000, Kelowna is the largest city in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. The Kelowna Fire Department operates from seven fire stations located strategically throughout the City. Each station has a full complement of modern, up-to-date vehicles and equipment. There are 117 full-time personnel and 59 paid-on-call volunteers.
The Fire Chief will report to the General Manager of Corporate Sustainability and has four direct reports: Assistant Chief, Operations; Assistant Chief, Prevention; Assistant Chief, Administration; and Assistant Chief, Training.
