"It makes five of the 10 members favourable towards receiving it and four members of the opposition are in favour and of course now John Slater. We're hoping others will come out publicly as well. The only one that said he wouldn't accept it is Terry Lake but I'm not even sure he read the letter we sent him, he answered so quickly." Elections B.C. has refused to forward the petition to the committee until the courts have dealt with the legal challenge of the petition in court. No word how long that may take.

Liberal MLA on board with HST petition
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A Liberal MLA is now on-side as the fight against the Harmonized Sales Tax has taken yet another turn. John Slater is a member of the Select Standing
