Poor market conditions are causing another two week curtailment at a pair of Tolko mills. The Vernon based forest products company will curtail production at its stud mills in Armstrong and Williams Lake (Soda Creek), from August 23rd until September 7th. About 315 employees will be affected. Armstrong site manager Pat Donnelly says they regret the impact on their employees, adding the restart will depend on product demand improving. Tolko also curtailed its plywood operation in Armstrong for two weeks earlier this summer. Photo: Tolko's Armstrong Division
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
