Okanagan Visitor Centre statistics, January to June 2010 (Source: Tourism Westside)

Pentictonpolitics
Fellow Blogger and Penticton Councillor Dan Albas has a Sunday Feature where he purposely looks outside Penticton Council Politics and highlights other things that attract his attention. (much more sophisticated and mature then the Sunday Comics I introduced this week and hope to make a regular Sunday staple.)

This Sunday, Dan was desperate, and this being a slow news-day in August introduced his readers to Vernonblog in a posting called Since it`s Sunday…

Since Dan entered the ranks of the Blogging Politicians I have followed his blog and it is one of those listed on my 'Links of Interest'. His Blog is a most insightful look into the going-ons in the Penticton political and social scene and he is not reluctant to make a provocative personal commentary on his role within his fascinating City and his City Council duties. All in all a most entertaining and educational blog.

Thanks for reading this self serving advertisement for Vernonblog.

The tourism information comes from a posting on Penticton Politics called Penticton Visitor Center Numbers Decimated on August 27. Teaser excerpt: 'Over 18,000 visitors! To put 18,000 visitors into context that is more than the visitor totals of Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon, Lake Country, Peachland, and Summerland combined! '
