Intensive Library Talks

An Architectural Charette. Kate Bouey 9/28/2010 105.7 SUNFM

An intensive three-day session takes place in Vernon early next week as the key players in the library construction project get together. Councillor Shawn Lee calls this type of approach - an architectural charette. Lee says a fast track process is being used because ``time is tight'' if the building is to be completed by the spring of 2012. He says they are not starting from scratch as Vernon Library officials already know what they need in terms of space. An Okanagan Regional Library spokesperson says the public is invited to an input session on Wednesday from 4 pm until 8. Some draft sketches of the building are expected to be presented at that time.
