The new vision for Kin Park--along with what it will cost--are expected to be before Greater Vernon politicians next month. NORD's Parks and Rec G-M Al McNiven says the plans have been changed since public input was given in the spring. Greater Vernon residents will have to wait longer for new ice arenas and a gymnastics facility. Those venues will not be included in cost estimates for the Kin Park redevelopment plan, which will be before G-VAC directors next month. Parks and Rec GM Al McNiven says it's felt those facilities aren't needed as quickly as some other features. McNiven says while there is still room provided for those facilities, the plan focuses on reconstruction of the four ball fields, a BMX and bike skills area and general park landscaping.
