Police have revealed that officers have a videotape of the small plane crash in Lumby on Sunday which killed two brothers. Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says family members had been recording the event as 53-year-old pilot, Thomas Huwer, and his 45-year-old brother, Joseph, set off to look for some lost cattle. However Molendyk says the plane was only in the air five minutes or so when the crash occurred in a field on a family farm. He says the aircraft was not an ultra-light, as was previously reported, but a homebuilt or U-built aircraft. He calls it an enclosed, ``heavier aircraft'' which must follow certain specifications and that this one had been registered at one point. He says the Transportation Safety Board is now involved in the probe and may send investigators to the crash site. The Huwer family appear to be a close-knit group. The brothers are said to live side-by-side in Lumby and other relatives live nearby.
