MLA Eric Foster to get Cabinet Spot ?
VICTORIA – Premier Gordon Campbell will unveil a "realignment" of his cabinet Monday morning, two days before he gives a televised address to the province.  It's an effort to turn around the fortunes of a B.C. Liberal government that has been battered by opposition to the harmonized sales tax and now faces recall campaigns in the new year. Campbell's personal approval rating slipped to single digits in a recent opinion poll.  The half-hour televised address will appear on Global TV at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The premier will be up against game one of the World Series featuring the San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers.  Campbell also faces a review of his leadership at the B.C. Liberal Party convention, set for Penticton in November. Constituency associations around the province have already voted on their support for Campbell as leader, and the results will be known at the convention. NDP leader Carole James has another year before her leadership is tested at a party convention, but critics within the party have questioned how well she has capitalized on the Campbell government's woes.
