The plans for a recall campaign in the Vernon Monashee riding are already stirring up strong emotions. A group that calls itself non partisan intends to initiate the process against MLA Eric Foster in the new year. Foster is upset the group has posted a picture of him on their website, accompanied with the words: No more lies. He tells KISS FM, "I take exception to anyone calling me a liar. I have been most forthright with everybody and any questions asked, I have answered. I take great exception to anyone calling me a liar." Foster says a recall campaign concerns him, saying it would be disruptive, could cause an election and be a big expense. "These people are taking advantage of this because they don't like the HST. Well, we're giving everybody in this province an opportunity to get rid of the HST next September (in a referendum)."Foster, who is a rookie MLA, says he's worked hard at the job, and notes he had nothing to do with how the HST was put together. "I wasn't there prior to last May. I certainly support it. It's good legislation."
Recall campaign spokesman Rod Baziw says they're upset at Foster's handling of the HST."He's towed the party line and he hasn't listened to his constituents."Baziw feels Foster should have followed Blair Lekstrom's lead on the HST and resigned from the Liberal caucus."If Eric would have done that, we wouldn't be targeting him specifically." Baziw says the lies comment on their website (vernonrecall.com) refers more to the Liberal party, and not Foster himself. The group will have to get over 18,000 signatures to be successful in recalling Foster. That works out to 40 percent of eligible voters.

I guess Foster will take the credit for elimination of the HST on poppies!
Foster has done nothing for Vernon-bring on the recall. He may think that he has worked hard, but we have seen no benefits.
Mr Fosters supporters have threatened legal action of the "no more lies" slogan. I have an idea, lets sue the voters so I don't lose my job! WTG Foster!
I have no doubt that Foster put in the hours to keep Campbell in power, however, he has done little on constituent issues including the HST discontent, and local meat processing. He has been a very loyal soldier and needs to be recalled.
Please tell me more about the meat processing...
