An 18-year-old Falkland boy died when the car he was driving went over a steep embankment. North Okanagan RCMP Spokesperson, Gord Molendyk says it happened just after 9pm Wednesday night on the Chase - Falkland secondary highway. He says the vehicle went over a steep embankment. The driver died at the scene. A 17-year-old girl in the front passenger seat is in Kamloops hospital suffering from broken bones. An 18-year-old boy from Falkland, who was in the backseat, is recovering in Vernon Jubilee Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. RCMP say early indications are speed was likely a factor in the crash.
