Conservation Service Streched

There's been a lot of wildlife issues around Greater Vernon the last few weeks, highlighting what some residents feel is a lack of conservation officers in the area.  Coyote problems have surfaced in Okanagan Landing and a recent cougar attack killed eight alpacas (al-pack-ahs) in Lavington.  MLA Eric Foster agrees there's a shortage of officers but he's not sure it will result in more funding.  Foster says "everybody thinks they should be more of  a priority as far as funding goes, and we've got lot of issues. Foster says he's raised the issue with the Environment Ministry.  There's three C-O's based out of Vernon who cover a wide area from Cherryville to Oyama and the Shuswap.
