A groundbreaking ceremony at the planned Vernon library site takes place Tuesday morning at 10 am. Local dignitaries will be on hand to put the first shovel in the ground at 28th Street and 30th Avenue. A fence already rings the site although no heavy equipment was spotted there on Monday. Those present will include Okanagan Library Board chairman Ted Bacigalupo, Vernon councillor Shawn Lee, Vernon head library Maureen Currey and architect Tim McLennan.
