New NDP Candidate

NDPNew Democrats in the riding of Okanagan Shuswap will have a new candidate when a federal election is called. Nikki Inouye of Vernon is the lone person to seek the position formerly held by Alice Brown of Falkland the last three elections. Inouye is employed at Vernon Jubilee Hospital and is a member of the Hospital Employees Union. She will officially be declared the party's candidate at a nomination meeting January 30th at the Oddfellows Hall in Armstrong. The event was to be held in March, but Brown tells KISS FM, they decided to move it up, to make sure they are ready for an election call.
