RCMP Seize Handgun, Cocaine During Drug Raid - Two people facing drug charges
A handgun and cocaine have been seized in a drug raid in Vernon. Four people were arrested at the residence in the 3900 block of 21st Avenue by officers in possession of a search warrant Wednesday evening. The RCMP report that 20 rocks of cocaine, individually wrapped for sale, and two ounces of cocaine were uncovered as well as scales, cash and phones. Police are checking the registration of a Browning 9mm pistol found in the home. Police say it was unloaded but believe a suspect has been wearing it out on the street. Police hope to have a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old female before the courts Thursday. Two other women have been released from custody.
