Damian Inwood, The Province February 4, 2011 UPDATE: A heroic officer who was injured when he threw a teenage girl out of the way of a runaway truck is said to be in "high spirits."  Const. Jim Moir, 45, has undergone reconstructive surgery to repair the damage to his leg, which was crushed in Thursday's accident. Moir is said to be focusing on his recovery and the intense rehabilitation process ahead. "He and his family are amazed at the outpouring of support and praises from the public for his actions," said RCMP spokesman Sgt. Peter Thiessen in a news release. The RCMP is encouraging the public to sign an E-Card with their comments to Moir through the BC RCMP Facebook fan page.
