Cocaine dealer nabbed

(File photo: RCMP)A suspected cocaine dealer has been taken off the streets of Vernon. On March 3, members of the RCMP Community Response Unit (CRU) checked a 22 year-old man in a vehicle on 30 Ave. "The suspect was found to be in possession of 5 rocks of crack cocaine and over $200 in cash," says RCMP Spokesperson Gord Molendyk. He was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking, says Molendyk. A warrant was obtained for the motel room he was staying at, where a further 11 grams of crack cocaine and over $2400 were seized. The suspect is to appear in court Monday, March 7, to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of his undertaking and probation.
