Recall Campaign Against Vernon-Monashee MLA To Be Delayed - Local organizers await wording of referendum question, June vote promised

It appears the ``in with spring, out with Foster'' recall campaign against Vernon-Monashee MLA Eric Foster will be delayed. Local anti-HST organizer Tom Holmes says a decision has been made to wait to see the wording of the HST referendum question. ``If it's fair and not ambiguous, as it was initially, then we will hold off,'' explains Holmes. Premier-designate Christy Clark has promised an HST referendum in late June rather than the planned one in September. The local campaign against the tax had attracted over 300 local volunteers and not all are happy with the decision.``Well we've had some people who are disappointed already but I think it would be futile, if the referendum is worded properly..., then what are we fighting for?'' Holmes asks. The campaign against Foster was scheduled to start on March 20th, the first day of spring.
