Bad Place to Committ A Crime

A teenager is facing charges after going on a destruction spree...outside the Vernon RCMP detachment. The 18 year old man is accused of smashing windows on four police cruisers Friday afternoon, resulting in $2,500 damage.  The suspect is known to police and was taken to VJH to be assessed, as he appears to be suffering from some mental issues.  He has since been released on a promise to appear to appear in court at a later date.  In other Vernon police news, a break and enter suspect tried his best to hide from police after getting inside Liquidation World on 30th Avenue.   The store reported getting a break and entry alarm Sunday morning.  A police service dog unit was called out and noticed a broken window at the rear of the business.  There was also damage to a ceiling tile near the damaged window. Officers used a ladder to access the hole in the ceiling and located a male laying on a support beam hiding within the ceiling structure.  A 26-year-old man from Vernon was arrested for b and enter and will face charges.
