Change At the Top In Enderby

There's a change in the works for the top staff job with the city of Enderby.  Current chief administrative officer Barry Gagnon will be leaving the position, but not for a while.  Tate Bengston, the executive director of the  Enderby Chamber of Commerce, will be groomed to take over his job starting next January.  "I'll be working my way through all the different aspects of local government, so I'll be getting exposed to every part of the operation and shifting through a deputy CFO and CAO."  Bengston says the changeover will take 2 or 3 years before Gagnon leaves the position.  "It will be a very gradual phase in period, so I'll be working with him very closely and learning a lot of new things."  Bengston says he will miss working at the chamber once he joins the city.  "It's with a heavy heart I'm saying goodbye to the chamber, but at the same time I'm really looking forward to the new challenges and learning opportunities that will come with shifting over to the City Hall."
