Foster Disappointed In ALC

Proposed sports facilityYou can add Eric Foster to the list of people unhappy with the Agricultural Land Commission.  The Vernon Monashee MLA is hoping the agency will reconsider its decision to reject using ten acres of farm land near Okanagan College for a new sports facility.  "I'm very, very disappointed in that decision. It was an issue brought forward by the entire community, and for the land commission to turn them down...It's not a good piece of agricultural land, it's a piece of property that's never been used for agriculture."  Foster is looking to talk to Premier Clark and other government officials about the situation.  He says the land was turned over to the college by the Crown in 1979, to develop as they saw fit.  "I think the whole history needs to be brought back to light, and let the commission look at that history, and maybe reevaluate their decision."
Foster feels the commission's mandate needs to be looked at to bring broader community needs into consideration when making decisions.  The MLA hopes college and Greater Vernon officials can address the concerns the commission members had.

Foster doesn`t know what he is talking about-he is more worried about the future recall that will take place and now trying to pretend that he cares.

Mr Foster.....you have the wrong focus...you should be looking after the interests of our decaying health care system in this community.
