Localized snowstorms hit Okanagan

Big wet snowflakes left parts of the Okanagan shrouded with nearly 20 centimetres of snow on Monday April 18.  Environment Canada meteorologist David Jones says very localized snow storms are moving through the area.  "There was a cluster of clouds that moved over parts of the Okanagan," says Jones. "We had a report of 17 centimetres in Enderby," says Jones, adding that other parts of the North Okanagan received no snow at all.  "It was very localized. It just unloaded on Enderby in particular." Jones says that as conditions clear up over the next few days, overnight frost is to be expected. "Any morning with temperatures down to two degrees, you're going to have some patchy frost." But by the weekend, things should be looking more spring-like he says.  "We've got a good ridge headed our way, we'll have highs in the upper teens by the end of the week."
