North Okanagan RCMP Clock Driver Going 160 K On Highway

RCMP say a 28-year-old Vernon man has been caught travelling at 160 kilometres per hour on Highway 97, near Crystal Waters Road. Police say the driver was pulled over Saturday morning and breathalized after an officer detected an odour of liquor on the driver's breath. Police say he has been handed a 3-day roadside suspension and his vehicle has been impounded. RCMP Corporal Gerry Kovacs encourages people to buckle up, slow down and drive safely.
