On Nord Agenda for Tomorrow June 1

IPHOTO Image
Tomorrow Wednesday June 1st, at 4 PM, I will be making a presentation to the RDNO board on becoming a GE Free Zone.

The purpose is to ask directors to declare the North Okanagan's intention to sign a resolution that they intend to become GE Free. Regions where genetically modified crops are already grown that have declared their intention of becoming GE Free see a reduction in the amount of GMO grown and a willingness to transition to non GMO. This is good for the environment, our health and the local economy. If any of you are close to Vernon BC (the RDNO office is on Hwy 6, in Coldstream) please consider showing up for this short presentation to show your support for a non GMO future in the North Okanagan. You can also help by using the phone, Facebook, Twitter, and blogs to let everyone you know who cares about real food know about tomorrow.

Huguette Allen.
