Vernon Officer Stops Robbery at Scotiabank Branch ATM Machine - Two women threatened with needle



A sharp-eyed Vernon RCMP officer appears to have stopped a robbery in progess just after 1 am Sunday morning at the Bank of Nova Scotia's ATM machine in the downtown. The officer noticed two women and a man at the cash machine and that one of the women looked upset. When he went to investigate, the women rushed out of the branch and said they had been threatened with an infected needle and told to hand over some cash. The man took off but is described as 6-feet tall, Caucasian, with short hair and a large bandage over left eye. Police say they have a suspect in mind and are searching for him.
