A Greyhound bus driver hoping to avoid a moose veered into a slough early Wednesday morning. The Clearwater RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Hwy 5 on July 22, involving a Greyhound bus going off the highway after encountering a crossing moose. The Clearwater RCMP received the report of the collision approximately 25 km south of town at around 4:30 a.m. "All passengers and driver were able exit the bus with one passenger suffering a fractured limb with minor injuries only to a small number of other passengers," says RCMP Cpl Chris Newel. The bus remained upright in about five feet of water, with all occupants making it off the bus safely to await emergency crews. The highway was closed temporarily, for short period and is now fully re-opened. The Clearwater RCMP are continuing their investigation into the collision. While RCMP say it is unclear at this time whether the animal was actually hit or the driver avoided it, the carcass of a moose was reportedly spotted at the scene.DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
