More bear issues in Coldstream, and specifically Lavington. A resident called Kiss FM to report the sighting of a young black bear cub eating garbage on Brewer Road Wednesday afternoon. The resident was concerned about children's safety should the cub's mother be nearby.Conservation officers later destroyed a young brown bear up in a tree in Lavington Park, saying it was habituated to garbage. The officers also got a call about a mother and two bear cubs on Harper Drive in Coldstream Saturday.
