Vernon Mounties are still hunting a suspect after a home invasion and robbery early this morning. It happened around 2-30 as two men busted into an apartment in the 36 hundred block of 30th Avenue. A neighbour reported a man at her door, bloodied and asking for police to be called. Apparently the two came in through a window and beat the 48 year old before taking his wallet. Police say he was taken to hospital with facial injuries. One man was picked up shortly after in the downtown. The 40 year old, well known to police, is facing charges of robbery, break and enter, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and resisting arrest. The second suspect has been identified but remains on the loose.
