Purple Ribbon Petition Reaches One-Thousand-Plus Signatures - Only four-thousand left to go to reach goal

Over one-thousand people have now signed an online petition calling for more patient care beds at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. The petition, begun by hospital staff, had been slow to catch on but was boosted recently when city councillor Bob Spiers appealed to residents to support it. Staff have complained that overcrowding at VJH has led to conditions that are sometimes unsafe and unsanitary. There is still a long way to go for the petition which is seeking five-thousand signatures.

Don Quixote Note: The Local Media has been instrumental in publicizing the Online Petition at http://www.petitiononlinecanada.com/petition/vjh-purple-ribbon-campaign-petition/136 and this has helped in reaching the 1000 signatures point.

Hopefully all those who have signed will send the link to any of their friends in the Hospital District and we will see another surge.
