The purple ribbon campaign is building momentum.  The online petition has ballooned from just 65 names last week, to over one thousand.  The campaign -- started by a doctor--aims to convince the province to fund more beds in the new tower, to reduce overcrowding, and code purples.  City councillor Bob Spiers thanks local media for getting the word out on the campaign.  Spiers got the ball rolling by encouraging more support during a council meeting last week, which Kiss FM and other media reported on.  Up to 60 new beds on two shelled-in floors, would cost about 20 million for equipment, and ten million a year to staff.  The campaign goal is to get at least 5-thousand names.
