Water Reservoirs Are Full

Greater Vernon's water supply is in good shape heading into the summer. Arnold BadkeNORD Engineering G-M Arnold Badke (pictured) says all four of their reservoirs on the Duteau Creek source, are full.  "Its good news, yes, and we've been spilling water (from the reservoirs) since the 24th of May."  Badke says the Kal Lake supply is also in good shape with the lake higher than normal.  "We have no concern on Kalamalka Lake at all."  The recent wet weather, and snow melt, are the reasons for the healthy supply. The stage 1 alternate day sprinkling restrictions are currently in place, which Badke doesn't see changing any time soon.

spilling water that could be saved for the next potential drought year> Time to build up the reservoirs up there to capture this excess water
