Teens Suspected In Beating, Robbery Of Man Near Rec Centre - Police say number of suspects range in age from 15 to 17

Vernon RCMP say a group of teens are believed to have been involved in the beating and robbery of a 29-year-old man near the Rec Centre, off 39th Avenue, last Friday afternoon. Police spokesperson Gord Molendyk says the victim was kicked, punched and pepper sprayed and his wallet taken. Molendyk says most of the five suspects are teenagers and at least three are female. ``Four of the people were young offenders ranging in age from 15 to 17 years,'' says Molendyk. ``Three were arrested and have been released on a promise to appear.'' He says police are still looking for an adult male who is also believed to have been involved in the assault and robbery.
