Woman Robbed At Knifepoint In Downtown - Suffers minor wounds to arm during encounter


Vernon RCMP say a woman claims to have been robbed at knife point in the downtown. Police say the woman received minor injuries to her arm during the incident which occured around 11:15 am Wednesday, near the Safeway store off 30th Avenue. The suspect took off with the woman's handbag. The suspect is described as a native male between 30 and 38, about 160 pounds and from 5'10 to 6-feet tall. He was wearing a red hoodie and dark pants. A police service dog was unable to track the man.
