Countdown to Civic Election - Interested in running for mayor of Vernon or for council, time to pick up nomination papers.
You can expect Wayne Lippert to be first in line to collect nomination papers when city hall opens Monday. This is the first day those papers are available for people planning to run for mayor or for the six spots on Vernon council. Municipal elections take place across BC on November 19th. Lippert has indicated that he's interested in running again. District of Coldstream nomination packages were made available as of last Friday. And, for the first time, they can be downloaded from the Web.
