The Vernon School District is preparing for possible job action by teachers when school starts in two weeks but Superintendent Bev Rundell says this is a different than the last strike 6 years ago. She says they've never started the school year with job action this early. Rundell says district staff has been planning since June to get ready. She says work has been done to set up a supervision schedule at each school. The district also held a brief meeting with the Vernon Teachers Association Tuesday to ensure procedures for student safety would be followed. She says district staff will be joining principals and vice-principals to supervise students on the playgrounds if teachers refuse to do so.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
