The head of the BC Cattlemen's Association says about a dozen herds remain quarantined following an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis at a farm in the Cherryville area last June. But General Manager Kevin Boon says the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's probe is almost over and, so far, no other herds have been found with the illness. He admits BC cattlemen are breathing a big sigh of relief. ``When we know that it's contained to one area and one herd it takes alot of the concerns out as to the health of the rest of our herds in British Columbia.'' Boon says if all goes well, the agency will soon report its findings to industry and government. ``We get alot of that information out to both to our foreign customers, because it's of big importance to them, but also to our domestic customers so that they know that it is looked after and safe,'' Boon tells SUN FM. The original herd has been put down.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
