DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Minister Delays Bed Funding; UBCO Bus
Maybe by the end of the year. That's when the Health Ministry may provide more bed funding to reduce overcrowding at Vernon's hospital. Mayor Wayne Lippert says that was the outcome of a meeting with
Health Minister Mike de Jong at the Union of BC Municipalities conference in Vancouver. "He doubted very much that we would have an answer for the shelled-in
floors for the October opening, but hopefully in overlooking the
provincial budget, maybe we'll have an answer by the end of the year." "We'd always like to get an answer right away, but in working with Minister de Jong, he's been positive." There had been hopes the funding may be announced for the tower's official opening October 13th. Hospital staff and residents have been pushing for up to 60 more beds in the top two shelled-in floors of the Polson Tower. Lippert says Vernon MLA Eric Foster presented de Jong today with a 6,000 name petition in support of the funding. Meantime, Lippert says city and transit staff will be looking at
solutions to the overcrowded Vernon to UBCO buses, possibly using a new
type of bus.

They'll announce the beds when we have the next election in 2013.
Run along little Mayor and Backbencher, I've got important things to do here.
