The organizer of the Labour Day rally to try and pressure the government to spend the 20-million dollars required to put beds in the two shelled in floors in the new tower at Vernon Jubilee Hospital is optimistic it will happen. Peter Hill says it could come during the opening of the new 180-million dollar tower. Hill says there have been some signs. He says about 6-thousand people have now signed the petition asking for more acute care beds in the two shelled in floors of the new Polson Tower.
Hill expects the announcement during the Official Grand Opening September 25th.
