It has been ten years but
no one has forgotten. The Vernon Fire Rescue Service is hosting a
solemn ceremony next Sunday morning to mark the 10th anniversary of the
Sept. 11th attacks. The public is invited to attend to pay tribute to
emergency service and first responder personnel who lost their lives in
the line of duty. Fire Service, RCMP, forestry, ambulance and search and
rescue personnel will march from the BCAS station to the front of
the Vernon Fire Station on 30th Street. There will be a moment of
silence followed by a short ceremony. It begins at 9:45 am, Sunday, Sept
11th.
