A 55-year-old man, accused of stealing
an outhouse from Rouks Sawmill in Lumby, has pleaded guilty to two
counts of possession of stolen property over five-thousand dollars.
Robert Andel has been sentenced to nine months in jail. The log
structure was stolen a year ago and was valued at around 19-hundred
dollars. Andel is described as a prolific offender. A court clerk says
20 other stolen property charges have been stayed. The North Okanagan
man is expected to face trial next month over a case from January of
last year, when a stolen pickup slammed in a Vernon home causing major
damage.
