Scarey In The Park

Vernon RCMP had to deal with a knife wielding woman in Polson Park last night.  They were called by a bylaw officer who was dealing with the middle aged woman who'd slashed his tires, and stabbed his vehicle as well as threatening him. When officers arrived she still had the knife, swinging it in the air.   She refused to drop it, demanding police shoot her, and at one point tried to slash the tires on a police vehicle. Eventually she did drop the knife and was arrested. She's in the Vernon hospital being assessed . At this point police still haven't identified her, but say she could face charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and mischief.
