North Okanagan List Drinking Drivers - Lumby RCMP seize marijuana plants from small grow op

The RCMP continue to catch a high number of drinking drivers caught on North Okanagan roads. Police say that over the past week five people were handed 3-day driving bans, another five received 90-day prohibitions and one person was charged with impaired. Four people received 24-hour suspensions, one for drugs, and 14 vehicles were impounded. A small marijuana grow operation has been busted in Cherryville. Lumby RCMP officers, armed with a search warrant last week, seized 30 plants and grow equipment from a residence at the Cherryville Estates Trailer Park. No one was home and police are looking for the person responsible. The RCMP say they are committed to answering all complaints about grow ops in the area, no matter how small.
