You may see a number of people carrying placards and signs at Vernon City Hall tomorrow (Saturday). An Occupy Vernon peaceful protest is taking place from 3 pm - 6 pm to
highlight the widening gap between rich and poor in our community and
country. Protestors would like to see taxes on the rich and corporations
raised, an end to corporate welfare, support for trade unionism, and
protection of Medicare and Social Security.
