It's another blow for the community of Armstrong. Already reeling from the deaths of four young residents the last few
weeks, word comes today from RCMP that an Armstrong woman was the victim
of yesterday's fatal crash on Westside Road. 60 year old Ronda Zawada lost control of her car and drifted into the
oncoming lane, getting T-boned by another vehicle near Head of the Lake
Road. The other driver was taken to hospital with leg injuries. No indication on the cause at this point. There had been fresh snowfall that morning but the road had been plowed and sanded. RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says the investigation will likely
take some time as mechanical inspections will be done on the vehicles.
