Shepherd defends contributions

Kelowna Mayor Sharon Sherpherd says she has nothing to hide and has done nothing wrong in accepting a campaign contribution from a retired firefighter. Shepherd has come under attack from challenger Walter Gray and those in his camp after she stated at a mayoral forum Tuesday that she had accepted a $500 campaign contribution from the Kelowna Professional Fire Fighters Association.  In fact, Kelowna Professional Fire Fighters Association President, Larry Hillier, says his organization has attempted to contribute to Shepherd's campaign each of the last three elections only to have those cheques respectfully returned.
