RCMP at Falkland grow op in May 2011 (file photo-RCMP)Two properties used for illegal drug growing activity in Falkland, have been taken over by the BC government.  The BC Supreme Court has served criminal restraint orders on the land owned by the Gibson family at 3914 Kneller Road and 3361 Highway 97.  The RCMP's Gord Molendyk says the sites, a few kilometres apart,  will be sold, with profits going to the Crown. "Five individuals were arrested at the time. Several members of the Gibson family faced charges, and now their properties have been seized."  Close to 22-hundred marijuana plants, 10-thousand dollars in cash, and a small helicopter were seized by police in May.  Five people from three generations faced charges, including a couple in their 70s, their two children (53 year old man, 44 year old woman), and a 24 year old grandson. The 53 year old man lives in Enderby, while the others are from Falkland.
