Groups Get Gaming Grants

  BC governmentFour Vernon non profit groups will be sharing more than 100-thousand dollars in gaming grants from the BC government.  The North Okanagan Hospice Society gets the largest cheque at 52-thousand. The Family Resource Centre gets 32-thousand, while the Okanagan Centre for Spiritual Living receives 25-thou. The final grant goes to the Knights of Columbus Saint James Council at 54-hundred dollars. Venron Monashee MLA Eric Foster says the groups will put the money to good use. "I know these four organizations and the work they do in and around Vernon very well.  Their dedication to our community makes Vernon a better place. "
